Insert into table

Adding data to a table is done with the INSERT INTO command. There are two ways of using this command. One is to tell the RDBMS in which order we want the values to be inserted. The other is to take the default order of the values from the table and insert it that way. If we want to use the order of the table, we call a command like INSERT INTO TABLE tableName VALUES ( column1Value, column2Value …);. If we want to specify in which order the data is inserted we call the following command INSERT INTO TABLE tableNAME (column1Name, column2Name…) VALUES (column1Value, column2Value…);

--- SQL command to insert values into specific table --- Unspecified columns ---
INSERT INTO tableName VALUES (column1Value, column2Value…);
--- SQL command to insert values into specific table --- Unspecified columns ---
INSERT INTO tableName (column1Name, column2Name…) VALUES (column1Value, column2Value…);
--- SQL command to insert values 'Andy Duck' into DuckName & '1' into DuckNumber in the Ducks table ---
INSERT INTO Ducks VALUES (1, ‘Andy Duck’);
INSERT INTO Ducks (DuckNumber, DuckName) VALUES (1, ‘Andy Duck’);
